December 11 - The Roman festival of the Septmontium was celebrated on this date throughout Roman history. It was held inhonor of the Seven Hills of Rome. During the festival, seven sacrifices were made in seven locations near the seven hills.

December 15, 1290 B.C. - The great Pharaoh of Egypt Seti I died on this date. His son, Ramesses II, succeeds him.

December 15, A.D. 37 - Future fiddler and notorious Roman Emperor Nero is born on this date.
