Ancient Roman Women

Beginning this week, I will be posting some older articles about Ancient Roman Women that I wrote for Suite 101. This week, we look at the real Cleopatra.

In my previous life as a Suite 101 writer, I devoted an entire section on the topic of Ancient Roman Women. Since my older articles were erroneously deleted, I have been given permission to repost them on this site.

The lives of Ancient Roman Women were fascinating. They were not solely relegated to the role of homemaker. There were warrior women, politically powerful women, property owners, and business owners. Many of these women broke the mold of the "non-existant" female of ancient history.

This week, I posted my article (parts 1 and 2) on Cleopatra. She is not necessarily the "Queen" that you have been taught about!
