Definition of the glossary term Titans

In Greek mythology, the Titans were a powerful group of beings that ruled the heavens and the Earth in the Golden Age, before the rule of the Olympian Gods. The Titans were defeated and overthrown by the Olympians in the battle known as the Titanomachy.
