Definition of the glossary term labyrinth

The Labyrinth was an elaborate maze that was built for King Minos of Crete by the architect Daedalus, in order to confine the Minotaur.

The Labyrinth was a complicated series of passageways that were intertwined. this made it virtually impossible for anyone who entered it to find their way back out.
