The definition of the glossary term Bronze Age

The Bronze Age of human history is characterized by the use of metalworking. With the development of such techniques as smelting copper and tin, people were able to develop stronger weapons and tools, which had a dramatic effect on teh development of civilization.

For our purposes, the Bronze Age we will discuss occurred from approximately 3000 - 1100 B.C., when the Minoan and Mycenaean civilizations rose to prominence.
