Definition of the glossary term nymph
In Greek mythology, a nymph was a nature deity, often associated with gods or goddesses that ruled over a natural realm, such as Artemis or Apollo. There were several different types of nymphs, and each species presided over and lived within specific realm of nature. There were water, land, and wood nymphs, each with its own specific classification within each realm (a nymph of oak trees, a nymph of meadows, a nymph of rivers). Related article:
