We often think of Europe as the quintessential home to history; but it may not be entirely true that all people and their beginnings were in Europe. Many petroglyph's and historical carvings abound in America and they mirror larger finds in Europe, such as Stonehenge, and the Orkney Island Standing Stones.
One of the less obvious places for learning about these kinds of stones and drawings is in America, in Southern Utah. Explorers, east of Parowan, discovered The Gap, where a set of petroglyphs are located and according to a local Indian Chief, said to be “...the House of God.”
Many ancient Temples are built on the premise that they are a man's view on the Universe. In “Hindu Temples: Models of a Fractal Universe” by Kirti Trivedi, he says, “...Hindu temples ... represent the cosmos symbolically.”
Throughout Utah, near the Manti LDS Temple in Sanpete County, Bryce Canyon, and the Fremont Indian State Park, are located similar petroglyph's as in Southern Utah. They are all located within a few hours of each other, among some of the countries most beautiful State Parks.
The question that then begs to be answered is why are there so many “Temple” symbols and “Temple Structures” located all over the world, especially in dusty, deserty Utah?
Man has generally been a thoughtful creature. Who are we? Where are we going? And where do we come from? It can only be assumed that our progenitors pondered on these things too. When they learned anything, it makes sense that that would write it down for future generations.
While the answers are still being sought after by some of the most qualified experts in the world, in the end, the only real understanding we have right now (short of ancient documents and their translations), will be to examine the similarities between each of the sites, the symbols, and recognize that our ancestors were a traveling people, taking their knowledge with them, and leaving it for their progeny to unravel.
